96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pure mid lemon yellow. Immediate class on the nose, picked at the right time. Impeccably balanced on the palate, all the weight one hopes for, but retaining a vivacity as well and an exceptional length of fruit. Pure white orchard fruit all the way. (Oct 2023)"

96 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from parcels in both Chassagen and Puligny). A fresh and beautifully layered nose once again somewhat grudgingly offers up a range of white orchard fruit aromas that are laced with hints of phenolic character, citrus and acacia blossom. The rich, sappy and powerful big-bodied flavors are surprisingly refined while displaying superb length on the compact, tightly wound and comparably built-to-age finale. This hugely long and impeccable well-balanced effort is also packed with development potential and it would be a shame to open one too early. As good as a number of the wines are, this is the clear class of the range in 2022. If you can find it, buy it. Drink: 2034+. (Jun 2024)"

95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): " The 2022 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is a big leap up from the Corton-Charlemagne: much more mineralité and tension - you can smell the terroir here. The palate is well-balanced and slightly austere, with deft touches of crushed limestone and white pepper, strict and linear on the finish, yet very powerful. Could this surpass the outstanding 2021 last year? Drink: 2026-2050. (Jan 2024)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "A core of fruit – of fresh clarity – like all. Really vibrant – not a heavy or fat Bâtard here. You can spit as many times as you like and this well of juicy flavour just holds and holds – a wine that in most dimensions is a hint behind the Charlemagne – but not in the finish – here we have extra. I would drink the Charlemagne in preference for maybe 10 years – after that I think the Bâtard may be the winner! (12/24/23)"

Presumably from her family's holdings, my guess is that—even picking earlier and from higher-elevation sections of the vineyard vis à vis Domaine Paul Pernot—the weight and power intrinsic to the terroir will eclipse harvest-date and/or winemaking decisions.
