93+ points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "Another old-vine Cinsault with a music-inspired name, the 2017 Trane is named after John Coltrane, one of the most disruptive and creative jazz musicians ever. The grapes come from the Tinajacura zone, what he calls the crus from Guarilihue, and this one has lots of quartz that delivers vertical wines with complexity. Some 1,400 kilos of uncrushed but destemmed grapes fermented in a 3,000-liter concrete vat with indigenous yeasts and matured in untoasted foudres. This has sharpness and volume and is spicy and herbal. It has an approachable palate and a nose that takes off after some time in the glass. 624 bottles were filled in February 2018. Drink: 2018-2023. (Oct 2018)"
