92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 les Serpentières from Hugues Pavelot is a lovely bottle in the making, and shows even a touch more of that exotic eucalyptus note in the upper register than in the les Peuillets. The nicely ripe bouquet wafts from the glass in a vibrant blend of sweet cassis, a hint of framboise, dark soil tones, gamebird, chocolate, woodsmoke, vanillin oak and the aforementioned eucalyptus. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and beautifully sappy at the core, with a good base of soil, ripe, seamless tannins, tangy acids and fine length and grip on the complex and succulent finish. Good juice. 2033-2085. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
