It was mostly in old barrels plus two cement eggs, and had been kept on its lees with just one racking in 2016. Pale primrose, quite a trenchant, lees filled nose. It has a strong personality, a touch if grilled pyrazine which may clean up later. At this stage it shows the maturation profile more than the terroir. Intriguing, but will be divisive."
