92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "This 2015 had not yet been bottled when I visited in May 2018. It was mostly in old barrels plus two cement eggs, and had been kept on its lees with just one racking in 2016. Pale primrose, quite a trenchant, lees filled nose. It has a strong personality, a touch if grilled pyrazine which may clean up later. At this stage it shows the maturation profile more than the terroir. Intriguing, but will be divisive."

92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(this saw 12 months of barrel aging and another 22 in stainless steel before being bottled in July 2018). Here too the nose is quite pungent with its smoky mineral reduction, petrol, sea breeze and pear liqueur aromas. The full-bodied, muscular and concentrated flavors possess very good intensity and verve while displaying very fine depth and persistence. This is definitely 2015 in style but it's not top heavy plus it will age for years if that's your preference. Drink: 2023+. (Oct 2019)"

92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2015 Chablis Butteaux 1er Cru is a pretty, open-knit wine, but it is also a touch fleeting. Light floral, savory and mineral shadings grace this understasted, classy, somewhat quirky Chablis from Thomas Pico. I would prefer to drink it within the next few years. Drink: 2020-2025. (Jan 2020)"
