'Top 50 Spirits 2009', 96-100 points Classic/Highest Recommendation, Wine Enthusiast: "Delightful aromas of dill, asparagus, baked bread and black peppercorn; following aeration subtle notes of vanilla, just-sawn oak, loose leaf tobacco and fennel are added. Entry is poised, sap-like and delicately honeyed; midpalate is regal, satiny textured, rich in grapy yet vegetal and spicy flavor. Concludes long, layered and succulent. (Dec 2009)"

'Best Añejo Tequilas,' Decanter: "Part of Patron’s super-premium Gran Patrón range, Burdeos is aged for a year in American and French oak barrels, then distilled for a third time and aged for a further 10 months in Bordeaux casks. It’s a silky-smooth Tequila full of red fruits, honey and granola, cocoa, vanilla and coffee grounds. Alc 40%. (1/27/21)"

Gran Patron Burdeos Añejo Tequila is distilled at 55 percent alcohol by volume from the finest blue Agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The Tequila is matured in a blend of American and French oak barrels and aged for a minimum of 12 months. It is then distilled again before it is racked in vintage Bordeaux barrels, hand-selected from the great chateaux of France to add the distinctive flavors of vanilla, raisins and dried fruit found in the finest Bordeaux wine.

Each bottle is placed in a box handcrafted from a single piece of black walnut, designed to double as a display case for the bar. Set in a bed of suede, the unleaded crystal bottle is cork finished like wine and sealed with a crystal cap. The packaging includes a specially designed corkscrew to assist with opening and an unleaded crystal bee stopper to preserve every drop.
