92+ points Erin Brooks (Wine Advocate): "The Chehalem Mountain Vineyard was originally planted by Dick Erath in 1968. An array of clonal selections are planted in marine sedimentary soils: Calera, Dijon, Erath, Pommard and Wadenswil clones are complemented by an array of unknown massal selections. Matured in 9% new oak, the 2022 Pinot Noir Chehalem Mountain Vineyard opens with heavy flinty tones that obscure the fruit at this early stage. The palate is much more open, offering layers of cranberry, raspberry, strawberry and orange peel. It’s structured by chalky tannins and mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, spicy finish. It will benefit from a few years in bottle or a couple hours in a decanter. 1,039 cases produced. Drink: 2025-2035. (12/19/24)"
