98 points Falstaff Guide: "Clear ruby with a fine garnet shimmer. Opens with notes of tobacco, then lots of wild raspberry and strawberry, some black truffle in the background. Full-bodied and firm on the palate, displaying lots of dark berry fruit, especially blackberry, then full-bodied, earthy tannins, great depth on the long finish. (Oct 2024)"

97 points Ian D'Agata Wine Review: "Bright pale red. Brown spices (it’s the Nebbiolo Rosé in the blend), blood orange and red cherry are complemented by exotic woods and forest floor. Enters floral, sweet and ripe, then more austere and tannic, but still beautifully well-balanced and pure, finishing long with repeating hints of nutmeg, cinnamon and red cherries. Drinking window: 2032-2044. (Dec 2024)"

96 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "Only made in the best vintages, the Oddero 2018 Barolo Riserva Vignarionda reveals dark plum, licorice, tar, smoke, camphor ash and sweet cherry. Vignarionda absolutely embraces the power and complexity of Serralunga d'Alba, especially in this warm vintage. In fact, it almost goes overboard with a tightness and astringency to the tannins that will require more time in bottle, and even then, it might not ever completely integrate. Production is limited to 3,500 bottles. Drink 2026-2048 (Apr 2024)"

96 points Claire Nesbitt (JamesSuckling.com): "Dried flowers, truffles, ground coriander and sour cherries on the nose. Some lemon rind. It’s bright, firm and compact, with a full body and chewy tannins. Bright acidity. Lots of energy on the long and continuous finish. Try after 2027. (Jan 2024)"

94 points Kerin O'Keefe: "Intensely fragrant, the 2018 Vignarionda Riserva from Oddero has almost intoxicating aromas of wild red berry, dog rose, culinary spice and camphor. On the full-bodied, firmly structured palate, notes of ground pepper, blood orange, coffee bean and crushed mint accent a red cherry core. Tight, close-grained tannins leave a clenching, grippy close. Drink 2028–2034. (Jun 2024)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "Fragrant with rose, strawberry and cherry notes, this expressive red is silky and fluid. Mineral, underbrush and wild herb elements add to its complexity, while the finish firms up, remaining long. Drink now through 2038. 300 cases imported. (Feb 2025)"
