97 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2021 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is a classic wine from this site. Vibrant, focused and finely cut, the 2021 dazzles with finesse. Crushed rocks, mint, slate, white pepper, mint and orange peel all race across the palate. The 2021 Rocche is everything Barolo is—everything it can be. I especially admire its intensely saline energy. This is shaping up to be one of the wines of the vintage. Drink 2028-2046 (Jan 2025)"
96 points Michaela Morris (Decanter): "Emerges furtively with scents of dusty rose and tobacco. Dark bramble berries plumb mineral depths, and stony tannins are seamlessly stitched in, ultimately yielding with a gratifying crunch. The finish trails off leisurely with heady floral perfumes. At the southern edge of Rocche di Castiglione, Oddero’s 0.68 hectare slice abuts Bussia, so technically falls into the township of Monforte d’Alba. The vertiginously steep, east-facing slope is characterised by particularly shallow soil rich in limestone. The site typically yields wines with enduring class, and this 2021 is no exception. Drinking window 2027-2042 (Jan 2025)"
93 points Kerin O'Keefe: "Intensely floral aromas of fragrant purple flower lead the nose along with more delicate scents of wild berry and dark culinary spice. Taut and firmly structured, the linear palate features red cherry, pomegranate, white pepper and ground clove alongside fresh acidity. Tightly woven, close grained tannins provide the backbone. Drink 2031–2041. (Jun 2025)"
