94 points James Button (Decanter): "Ariannia describes the Pettineo contrada, where some of the oldest vines are situated, as sandy with porous limestone. Whole-bunch vinified (‘I never press the berries!’), it spends two years in concrete for a super-fragrant, intense and vertical take on Frappato. Scents of dark cherry, blackberry, herbs and a hint of spice introduce a ferrous and sapid palate, powerful, perfectly poised and with good tannic structure. It's a lovely expression that really highlights the limestone soil and strength of the old vines. Drinking Window: 2025-2032. (5/8/25)"
93 points Eric Guido (Vinous): "[$93 list] The 2022 Frappato PT (Pettineo) is savory, with herbal resonance and a hint of concrete up front that complicates a core of vivid black cherry. Juicy and cool toned in character, it shows depths of ripe wild berry fruit underscored by tactile minerals and a citrus twang toward the close. The finish is long and full of tension, with a bitter blackberry tinge and nuance of lavender. Drink: 2025-2034. (Jul 2025)"
