92 points James Button (Decanter): "BB is Arianna Occhipinti's expression of Frappato from the Bombolieri vineyard, adjacent to the winery, featuring sand and a little bit of clay over limestone. It has some flinty reduction at this early phase in its life, hinting at milk chocolate, black cherry and earthy red fruit aromas. In the mouth it's grippy, broad and juicy, offering dark hedgerow berry flavours with a depth of warm soil, cardamom and peppery spice. The fullest of Arianna's three contrada Frappato. A 100% Frappato cuvée, from a single parcel known as Bombolieri, farmed organically and planted facing the Serra San Bartolo, in the southeast of the island, on 25 cm of light colored sand over a solid layer of limestone. Arianna works her parcel here with tremendous precision. The winemaker’s vinification here is also as precise as ever, without any additives, maturation in Slovenian barrels that have seen several wines, and just a microdose of sulphur at bottling. Tasting notes: A nose of black cherry, blood orange, cranberry, and thyme... The palate is fluid and spicy, with delicate, elegant fruit flavors, and a mineral, salty finish.
