94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "I love the terroir of Petits Monts and Maxime Cheurlin’s 2021 version is a shining example of just how special this vineyard can be. The bouquet is deep, refined and black fruity, offering up scents of black cherries, sweet dark berries, duck, coffee bean, woodsmoke, a beautiful base of dark soil tones and cedar. On the palate the wine is complex, full-bodied and very pure, with a fine core of fruit, excellent mineral undertow, bright acids, buried tannins and a long, focused and seamlessly balanced finish. First class juice. 2035-2085. (Nov/Dec 2022)"
94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This is deeply colored for a 2021, and there was more tannic edge than usual on this pretty, higher altitude Premier Cru. Demure, pure and sweet red fruits enchant with their delicacy on the palate. These are 55- to 60-year-old vines coming from a mere 0.30 hectares.(2023)"
93-94 points/'Very Fine+' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Vosne-Romanee Petits Monts 2021 is a delightful effort, with raspberry fruit infused with delicate Vosne spices. Light-footed compared to the previous three vintages, this shows a delightful saline note. Really enjoyable! Drink from 2030. (11/4/22)"
