93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2015 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru has a cohesive, focused bouquet of pure red cherries, bergamot and undergrowth scents and nicely integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannin and well-judged acidity. Touches of spice and blood orange toward the sustained finish complete a really quite joyful 2015 Burgundy. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. Drink: 2022-2045. (Nov 2018)"
93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Bright purple colour. High toned nose, some VA?. Sweet fruit behind, rather lovely and the VA disappears. Very persistent indeed. (2017)"

92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Tasted blind, the 2015 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Chaumes was also showing well in its lavish, dramatic style, bursting with aromas of dark berries, spices and creamy high-quality new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, supple and pure, with juicy acids and an open-knit, giving profile. It's one of the finest renditions of Les Chaumes that I've tasted from Maxime. Drink: 2018-2028. (Oct 2018)"
92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2015 les Chaumes from Monsieur Cheurlin is excellent. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a vibrant blend of raspberries, cherries, a lovely base of soil, hints of the duck to come, Vosne spices and cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, elegant and quite sappy at the core, with moderate, ripe tannins, good soil signature and a long, focused and vibrant finish that closes with very good grip and nascent complexity. The Chaumes was raised in fifty percent new wood this year, which frames the wine beautifully, while still allowing a fine base of soil tones to come through. Fine juice. 2022-2060. (Nov/Dec 2016)"
90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .47 ha parcel). Reduction presently masks the underlying fruit though there is good freshness on the palate as the supple and refined middle weight flavors possess a really lovely mouth feel, all wrapped in a focused, delineated and energetic finale. This too is lovely stuff fashioned in an understated style. Drink: 2021+. (Jan 2018)" 90-92 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(I tasted this wine from a barrel that had finished its malolactic fermentation): Bright medium red. Black cherry and a hint of reduction on the nose. Sweet, deep and concentrated, conveying a distinctly crunchy quality to its fresh dark fruit and mineral flavors. This firmly tannic but suave wine will need at least a few years of bottle aging to harmonize, but it already saturates the mouth on the long finish. (Jan 2017)"
