Cooler and more elegant floral-suffused aromas are comprised by notes of violet, lavender and lilac that add breadth to the plum, black cherry and vaguely sauvage scents. The racy and beautifully detailed medium weight flavors exude a bright bead of minerality that adds lift to the punchy finale that displays both excellent length and focused power. This is lovely. 91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Fontenys 1er Cru comes from a parcel acquired by Chuerlin in 2016 and includes 30% whole bunches. The light nose has wild strawberry and rose petal scents that exude Pinoté. The well-balanced palate has filigree tannins and very fine weight with orange zest and marmalade-tinged red fruit towards the finish. Sadly, just a barrel and a half of this. Drink: 2026-2040.
