The nose jumps from the glass in a fine blend of raspberries, black cherries, pigeon, a complex signature of dark soil, Vosne spices, raw cocoa an spicy oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, rock solid and soil-driven, with fine-grained tannins, excellent focus and grip and outstanding backend mineral drive on the long and complex finish. Otherwise there is excellent volume to the attractively intense and muscular big-bodied flavors that are at once fleshy yet serious, all wrapped in a beautifully long and reasonably refined if youthfully austere finish that makes clear that at least some patience would be a very good idea.
