It almost reminds me of a Cote Rotie with its feminine, floral, complex bouquet. Nicely textured on the palate, with medium to full-bodied richness, it has great tannins, perfect balance, and just has everything in the right places. Dark, smooth and intensely flavored, in a distinctly suave, sappy vein, hinting at lurking power. Seems a bit riper and more accessible than the 2016 version, but not necessarily more complex or floral. Still quite firm but not hard, finishing with noteworthy saline length and firm but evenly distributed tannins. This silky but structured Tempranillo maintains a light touch with aeration.
