98 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The luminous 2003 Ried Steiner Hund Riesling Reserve is clear and very concentrated on the nose that offers ripe and partly dried and stewed stone fruit and orange tea aromas intermingled with the saline and flinty depth of the Hund terroir in Krems as well as earthy mushroom and Turkish honey aromas. On the palate, this is a very rich but refined and elegant, savory, vital and mineral Riesling with stewed stone fruit and orange tea flavors and a saline, remarkably finessed and even filigreed but long and complex finish. This is a great wine that is still vibrantly fresh and savory. It's gorgeous now, yet there is no reason to hurry. The 2003 is possibly immortal. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Archive Release 2024. Tasted in January 2025. Drink: 2025-2070. (1/23/25)"
