Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Village (Rouge) comes from three climats and six different parcels, fully de-stemmed but keeping the berries intact, with a short cold maceration at 10°C for five days to develop red fruit aromas, and fermented at a maximum of 27°C. There is a lot of pumping over and just one pigeage in order not to extract any vegetal traits. Cranberry and raspberry on the nose, this opens nicely with a sense of "coolness". The palate is nicely structured but quite open, and you could say "ready for business". Gentle grip, lightly spiced with a touch of mint on the aftertaste, enjoy this red Chassagne over the next decade. Drink: 2027-2037. (Jan 2026)"
