93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Clos Saint-Jean 1er Cru is more reticent on the nose at the moment, giving little away compared with the preceding Champ Gain. Walnut and praline eventually peek from behind the curtains. The palate is very well-balanced with a fine thread of acidity, lightly spiced and slightly chalky in texture, kicking on nicely towards its lemongrass-tinged finish. Recommended. Drink: 2025-2040. (Jul 2024)"

93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2024)

92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a total of .52 ha of vines planted in the lieux-dits of Chassagne du Clos St. Jean and Rebichets). This is presently firmly reduced and revealing little so be sure to give it some air if you plan to open a bottle in the next year or so. Otherwise, the rich and generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors possess more power if not quite the same refinement on the impressively long, firm and well-balanced finale. This is worth a look provided it is given at least a few years of bottle aging. Drink: 2029+. (Jun 2024)"

91 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Fresh clear pale colour. The nose has less character than my favourites in the line-up. Takes a little time, then more emerges. There is something of a steely backbone, this is nicely made but I pine for pinot in this vineyard. Well balanced. Drink from 2027-2032. Tasted: October 2023."
