91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village has only gained in depth and complexity since I last tasted it, unwinding in the glass with aromas of raspberries, cherries, orange rind, dried flowers, forest floor and grilled squab. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety, with beautifully refined tannins, lively acids and a long, precise finish. Drink: 2024-2040. (Jan 2020)"
90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Monsieur Mugnier’s Chambolle villages botltings is one of my favorite village wines in the Côte de Nuits and the 2017 is going to be a lovey example of the vintage. The wine is still a tad reserved aromatically from its recent racking, but with a bit of coaxing offers up a lovely red fruity blend of strawberries, cherries, a fine base of minerality, roses, mustard seed and a whisper of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is juicy, full-bodied and nicely transparent, with a good core, fine focus and grip and a long, tangy and modestly tannic finish. Fine juice in the making. 2022-2050. (Nov/Dec 2018)"
90 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village offers attractive brambly red fruit mixed with undergrowth and light peppery scents on the nose – very classic in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, and quite taut and linear, perhaps needing just a little more matière on the finish to warrant long-term cellaring. Fine. Drink: 2022-2032. (Jan 2020)"
