94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "If you can’t afford the top wines from this world-class domaine, this village Chambolle is not a bad substitute. Combining fruit from the Combe d’Orveaux and Les Plantes lieux-dits, it’s a bright, charming, beautifully balanced Pinot with palate-caressing tannins and soft, elegant summer berry fruit. 2020-28. (Jan 2017)"

91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Mugnier's 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Village is beautiful, wafting from the glass with a pretty nose of raspberry, strawberry, sweet spices and peony. On the palate, the wine is bright, weightless and medium to full-bodied, with satiny tannins, fruit of crystalline purity and a long, sappy finish. This is an exquisitely transparent Chambolle Village that exemplifies Mugnier's ethereal style. Produced from 1.3-hectares of vines in the lieux-dits of La Combe d'Orvaux and 1er Cru Les Plantes. Drink: 2021-2040. (Apr 2018)"
91 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Bright medium red. Aromas of red berries, red cherry, smoke and menthol are lifted by a mineral topnote. Rich, juicy and well-delineated, showing lovely freshness and reserve to its plum and saline mineral flavors. This energetic, seriously structured village wine may already be shutting down in the bottle. (Jan 2018)"
90+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2015 Chambolle villages from Monsieur Mugnier is lovely, wafting from the glass in an elegant and nicely transparent blend of sappy strawberries and cherries, gamebird, chalky soil tones, exotic spice notes and just a whisper of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and already quite velvety on the attack, with a sappy core, lovely soil signature, fine-grained tannins and a long, focused and tangy finish. Classy AC. 2021-2050. (Nov/Dec 2016)"
90 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from two different parcels of vines, one located in the premier cru Les Plantes, which was planted in 1968 and the second from the villages-level portion of La Combe d'Orveau, 60% of which is young vines and the remainder is 40+ year old vines). A ripe, fresh, cool and airy array is composed by notes various red berries, floral and discreet spice nuances. The delicious, refined and vibrant medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the delicious and lacy bitter cherry pit-infused finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. Note that this highly complex effort should drink well early if desired but should also amply reward extended keeping. Drink: 2023+. (Jan 2018)"
