92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées impresses for its superb textural richness. Dark red cherries, flowers, mint and spices are woven together in a fabric of notable beauty. There is plenty of tannic material, but the fruit is so dense the wine's structural elements are a bit in the background. The wine continued to close down in the glass, which is likely to be quite positive for its aging potential. Despite the massive temptation to drink this early, my impression is that patience will be rewarded. Drink: 2019-2029. (Apr 2012)"
92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 50+ year old vines - this is Mugnier's favorite vineyard in terms of its fruit quality). This is riper still with cassis and red berry liqueur aromas introducing intensely mineral-driven and generous medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a firm finish underpinned by good tension and beautiful persistence. This possesses unusually good delineation for the vintage as well as moderate austerity which is also relatively rare in this opulent vintage. Comments: Outstanding. Drink: 2019+. (Jan 2012)"
91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2009 les Fuées is another beautifully ripe and flamboyant example of the vintage that will absolutely capture the hearts of a significant percentage of the red Burgundy buying public, but which will probably never generate anything but remorse from Monsieur Mugnier. The very pure nose jumps from the glass in a blaze of cherries, blood orange, pomegranate, a nice touch of soil, smoke and a spicy topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, ripe and focused, with a plump core of sappy fruit, moderate tannins and very, very good length and grip on the voluptuous finish. Again good juice from the fruit-driven side of the vintage. 2015-2035. (Nov/Dec 2010)"
