93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2008 les Fuées is a very, very classic example as well of this fine premier cru, with the red fruity side of the vintage perfectly positioned to bring out the best of this wine. The stunningly beautiful and sappy nose soars from the glass in a blaze of cherries, blood orange, chalky soil tones, gentle notes of smoke, roses and mustard seed. On the palate the wine is deep, fullish, pure and very refined, with great intensity, laser-like focus, excellent mid-palate depth and very suave tannins on the tangy and nicely reserved finish. A great bottle of les Fuées in the making. 2017-2050. (Jan/Feb 2011)"

91 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 50+ year old vines - this is Mugnier's favorite vineyard in terms of its fruit quality). This is also admirably fresh and pure but the high-toned and airy nose of red pinot fruit and subtle spice notes is even more refined and complements the lilting, graceful and poised medium-bodied flavors that seem to be constructed on a firm base of minerality on the lingering and tension-filled finish. A classic Fuées with its hallmark mild austerity. Drink: 2016+. (Jan 2011)"

91 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Medium red. Musky red fruits and underbrush on the nose. Supple and silky but classically dry, with cherry fruit complicated by spicy, peppery soil tones. More muscular than the village Chambolle and more tannic too. I'd give this four or five years in the cellar. (Mar/Apr 2011)"

91 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): "The 2008 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuees is a weightless, effortless wine graced with sensual fruit and a soft, sensual finish. Dried flowers and mint linger on the finish. This is at once relatively open for the year, yet also a touch fleeting. It’s hard to envision the Fuees as a long-term wine, but then again, Mugnier’s wines are deceptive. (May 2011)"

91 points Fine Wine Review: "The Chambolle-Fuées has an attractive nose of white flowers. The mouth is harmonious and succulent with red fruits, medium-weight, and good length. I did downgrade the wine some and put in the question mark because I also picked up some brown sugar flavors, which I believe may come from the barrels that Mugnier uses, and which I think will probably dissipate with time. I’d drink between now and 2035+. (Issue #133; 2011)"

18/20 points Jasper Morris (The World of Fine Wine): "Pale bright pinky purple; terrifically elegant bouquet, very Chambolle, with hillside freshness. Exquisite balance, perfect purity, and marvelous length. (Issue #34; 2011)"
