96 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "One of the clear highlights in the range, the 2012 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses is simply dazzling in the way it captures both the essence of site and the pure richness of the vintage. Layers of perfumed, silky red-fleshed fruit built to a gracious, textured finish full of the resonance and pure depth that is so typical of the year. Mugnier served the Amoureuses last among his 2012s in this tasting at the domaine, and it showed beautifully, even after the Grand Crus. Drink: 2022-2042. (Apr 2015)"

95+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2012 Mugnier les Amoureuses was in perfect form at the time of my visit, wafting from the glass in a complex and gorgeous aromatic constellation of cherries, fraises du bois, vinesmoke, very complex minerality, roses, gamebirds, coffee and a touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and strikingly transparent, with a lovely core, superb inner tension, laser-like focus and great length and grip on the perfectly balanced, suavely tannic and dancing finish. A great, great vintage for this iconic Chambolle bottling! 2022-2060. (Nov/Dec 2013)"

95+ points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Bright, dark red. Pungent aromas of raspberry, cranberry and crushed-stone minerality. Like liquid silk in the mouth, conveying compelling sweetness to its flavors of red berries, peppery herbs, dried flowers and spices. Perhaps most impressive today on the endless, palate-staining finish, which features aristocratic tannins, a saline impression of dry extract and compelling lingering perfume. Drink: 2023-2038. (Mar 2015)"

94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from old vines of an indeterminate age). A markedly ripe yet fresh and cool nose offers up a beguiling array of spice, floral and stone elements that confer serious depth onto the red, blue and black pinot fruit aromas. The mouth feel of the medium-bodied flavors is also silky and mineral-driven and the palpable sense of refinement is enhanced by the super fine-grained tannins on the hugely long, firm and beautifully balanced finale. This stunningly good effort should drink well after only 6 to 8 years though it will need fully 12 to 15 to fully peak. Drink: 2024+. (Jan 2015)"

94 points Jeannie Cho Lee, MW (Decanter): "Textbook, with seductive aromatics, finesse and long finish. Intense, delicate and light. Drinking Window: 2019-2028. (Dec 2014)"
