93 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "La Colombière used to be blended into the Mugneret-Gibourg sisters' textbook village Vosne-Romanée but was vinified on its own for the first time in 2018. Made entirely from old vines, it's a delicious addition to the domaine's range, showing depth, concentration, some minerality and notes of nutmeg and vanilla spice. My kind of red Burgundy. Drinking Window: 2021-2028. (Oct 2019)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "A new cuvée for the Mugneret family debuts with the 2018 Vosne-Romanée La Colombière, a bottling from one of the stonier lieux-dits that cluster around the village, where the domaine owns 86 ares planted in the 1960s over which they now have full control after the ending of an old sharecropping agreement. Wafting from the glass with an incipiently complex bouquet of raspberries, Asian spices, orange rind, black tea and incense, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, with velvety tannins, terrific concentration and a long, precise finish. This is a touch finer-boned and even more elegant than the regular Vosne-Romanée this year, and it will evidently be worth a special effort to track down. (Jan 2020)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The new bottling of la Colombière chez Mugneret is a slightly more structured wine than the straight Vosne, but shares the same beautiful black fruit tones and inherent complexity. The bouquet delivers a fine blend of black plums, black raspberries, some meaty tones, dark soil, woodsmoke, again, violets and a deft touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and displays excellent mid-palate depth, with ripe, buried tannins, excellent focus and grip and a very long, nascently complex and promising finish. This seems just a hair riper than the straight Vosne this year, but it shares the same purity and vibrancy. 2025-2060. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "First year of making this apart. 12 barrels from 70 year old vines behind the house. 14.2% alcohol. Reasonably dense purple with a slightly denser, more sombre fruit but with ripeness spilling out. Vanilla and sandalwood, plus elegant fruit too. (Nov 2019)"

90-92 points/'Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Vosne La Colombiere is a new wine from Mugneret-Gibourg, coming from a plot just behind the estate. The vines here are 70 years old, giving the wine a more distinct terroir expression. This is more defined and expressive than the regular Vosne, with a more pronounced minerality. The nose has vivid fruit and a delicate perfumed scent of Vosne. On the palate, airier, with a delightful mineral lift. This a delicious glass with fine balance. Drink from 2031. (11/8/19)"
