92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Very intense purple black. The nose is only slightly heady but is very fine, perfumed dark raspberry, offering much more than the blend. Very old vines here (1930s) but there is not much degeneration. I keep coming back to the nose, its beautiful. Gorgeous weight on the palate, perfect balance even at 14%, with fine acidity as well as ripened tannins. (Nov 2021)"

93 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The domaine destems everything and ages in 25% new casks to give a wine with a lush, plummy fruit of appreciable concentration, a lovely, silky texture and perfect length. La Colombière is a great site in Vosne, located behind Comte Liger-Belair’s Clos du Château on the somewhat deeper clay on the other side of the village from Romanée-St-Vivant. Drinking Window: 2025-2040. (Nov 2021)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Vosne-Romanée La Colombière comes from 70-year old vines. Matured with 25% new oak, this is a little tighter on the nose than the Village Cru with slightly darker fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, a little more piquancy than the Village with impressive length. Drink: 2025-2042. (Dec 2021)"

90-92 points/'Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Vosne La Colombiere is a new wine for Mugneret-Gibourg, coming from a plot just behind the estate. The vines are 60 years old, giving the wine a more mineral terroir expression thanks to the deep root system. It’s more defined and floral than the regular Vosne Village, and the difference between the two is more apparent than was the case with the 2019 versions. Lovely depth and energy. Drink from 2035. (1/17/22)"

91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 la Colombière was another wine with quite draconian yields in this vintage, as the crop only delivered thirty-two hectoliters per hectare. The wine is quite similar in ripeness level to the straight Vosne AC, coming in at 14.1 percent and offering up an excellent nose of black cherries, black raspberries, spices meats, a lovely base of soil tones, bonfire, cedar and an exotic touch of anise in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite refined in personality, with a sappy core, fine focus and grip and lovely textural sophistication to the tannins on the backend. Fine juice. 2031-2070. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
