94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This old vine fruit from La Colombière, located behind the Château de Vosne-Romanée, was formerly blended in with village Vosne, but is now bottled separately, as it richly merits. The old vines deliver concentrated black fruit aromas, with a perfumed, earthy edge. The density is perfectly balanced by the freshness, and the result is extraordinary for a village-level wine. Drinking Window: 2024-2039. (Oct 2020)"

94.2 points CellarTracker.com community score.

93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Note that this is a village wine rather than 1er Cru. An exceptionally dense bright purple colour. The bouquet is superbly hedonistic while retaining precision. Exciting wine! Precision and class, also reasonably forward without suggesting lack of ageing. The fruit is agreeably on the cusp of red and black, the acidity perfectly judged. A very attractive wine. (Sep 2023)"

90-92 points/'Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Vosne La Colombiere is a new wine for Mugneret-Gibourg, coming from a plot just behind the estate. The vines here are 60 years old, giving the wine a somewhat more distinct terroir expression. It is slightly more defined and floral than the regular Vosne Village, and will presumably mature slightly better. That said, judged currently there is not a big difference between the two. The nose does have a rather sensual scent of Vosne – this is why we love this village. Again 14% alcohol, with 30% new oak. Drink from 2031. (2/9/21)"

91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2019 la Colombière bottling from the domaine is more black fruity than the straight Vosne AC, offering up a complex and meaty aromatic constellation of black cherries, black raspberries, spiced meats, bonfire, dark soil tones, a touch of anise and just a bit of new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and fairly broad-shouldered in personality this year, with a rock solid core, fine soil signature, ripe, firm tannins and a long, well-balanced finish. Good juice that comes in at an even fourteen percent alcohol in this vintage and was made from only thirty hectoliters per hectare yields. 2030-2065. (Jan/Feb 2022)"

91 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Vosne-Romanée La Colombière has a slightly gawky nose at the moment, the stems just jutting out a bit, but I appreciate the attractive brambly red cherry and strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, with powdery, pliant tannins, modest density and a prickle of white pepper on the understated, slightly uncompromising finish. This far surpasses my expectations—not to be underestimated! Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. Drink: 2025-2042. (Dec 2023)"
