97 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The Mugneret-Gibourg Ruchottes is an extraordinary wine with a laser-like focus to the bright blackberry fruit with notes of violets, earth and smoke. The texture is compact and chiselled but very dense, with firm tannins and an impressively persistent saline minerality on the palate. The grapes are from the domaine's 0.70-hectare parcel in Ruchottes du Bas; they are destemmed and gently fermented before ageing in cask (70% new). Give this five years before opening; the ultimate ageing potential is likely 40 to 50 years. Drinking Window: 2032-2065. (11/2/23)"

95-97 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from the lower tier of the vineyard on soil with a lower bedrock than Roumier and Rousseau's. Matured in 70% new oak, it conveys a vivid image of the sea, or more accurately, an estuary on a cold winter's day. Just a touch of brine tinctures that black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black cherry and bilberry fruit. Again, there’s a strong marine influence: pitted black olives and briny notes towards the long and elegant finish. It's not the best I have tasted from this vineyard, but it's a seriously fine Ruchottes nonetheless. Drink: 2027-2050. (Jan 2024)"

95-97 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "The 2022 Ruchottes yielded 36 hl/ha, with an alcohol of just 12.7%, apparently it is always lower here. A fresh mid purple. A super-fine complex briary nose, one could believe some stems here but it is the setting of Ruchottes, crushed alpine strawberries, but all destemmed. Superbly poised, with such a refined fruit quality and a pleasing light peppery touch at the finish. (Nov 2023)"

95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, orange zest, exotic spices and petals. Full-bodied, ample and seamless, it's ripe and perfumed, with an enveloping core of fruit and sweet, creamy tannins. In style, it's reminiscent of a somewhat more unctuous, open version of the 2019 vintage. Drink: 2025-2045. (Jan 2025)"

93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 55+ year old vines). Very ripe aromas of various dark berries, baked cherry, earth, the sauvage and a whiff of truffle are trimmed in moderate wood influenced. The highly seductive, suave and enveloping middle weight plus flavors exude a prominent bead of minerality on the mildly austere, firm and very serious, indeed brooding, finish where a similar hint of warmth eventually surfaces. Excellent potential here as well though in a very compact package. Drink: 2037+. (Jan 2025)"
