96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Delicately smoky, Les Chaignots unfolds with a sensual mouthfeel: endowed with full, luscious fruit and a voluptuous texture, without any harshness, very harmonious, it is an admirable wine with impeccable elegance. (2025)"

94-96 point Jasper Morris, MW: "Dark in the centre with a purple rim, and a bouquet of significant energy. There is a mineral crunch which really enhances the ripe richness of the fruit, which has a dark cherry and raspberry profile. Superbly balanced with just the right acidity, 13.2% alcohol, carrying its 47 hl/ha without any doubt. A sublime finish. (Nov 2023)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "I commented that this looks a bit more like a 2020, and Lucie Mugneret agreed, saying that this cuvée always starts to look black during the second half of the alcoholic fermentation. The aromas are just as dynamic with a broad swathe of blackberries and hints of damp leaves underfoot. The palate tingles with freshness and sports curvaceous, supple tannins. Whiffs of smoke and blueberry linger into the vibrant finish. (2024)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet with Morello cherries, crushed strawberry, potpourri and touches of white truffle. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth texture, the 50% new oak making this very sleek and sensual. It’s a fruit-driven and luscious Les Chaignots with hints of blood orange and quince, finishing with a dash of pepper. Very fine. Drink: 2026-2042. (Jan 2024)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots is ripe and flamboyant, bursting with aromas of sweet berries and cherries mingled with those petals, orange zest and spices. Medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, with a broad and textural attack that segues into a seamless core of fruit, this will offer a broad drinking window. (1/18/24)"

92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.2 ha holding). Here the nose is a bit fresher still with its more floral and spicier aromas of red pinot fruit, poached plum and violet that are again trimmed in wood and menthol nuances There is reasonably good volume and solid punch to the medium-bodied and lightly stony flavors that deliver fine length on the dusty, youthfully austere, firm and slightly more complex finale. This isn't particularly dense but the balance is such that it should age gracefully over the next decade plus. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2025)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(Middle of the vines on the Vosne side. A more stony soil and a steeper position here.) Directly open with perfectly pure dark berry fruit. Direct, the finest texture yet with the tiniest grain of tannin – extra juicy – just so deliciously finishing. Almost a hint of too much sucrosity – but toooo tasty – I’d be drinking this with pleasure already. (1/21/24)"
