93 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "This was a difficult vintage in parts of the Loire Valley, nevertheless to my initial surprise (back in the late 1990s) a number of vignerons in Anjou seem to have made some admirable sweet wines. Moulin Touchais would seem to be part of that gang. This has an interesting nose, showing some evolution but also a broad confidence, opening with grilled citrus fruits, a little raisined and roasted character, rôti -stage desiccation, but cut with some fine saline and iodine notes, with a touch of Douglas harbour. The palate is nevertheless fresh and pure, bright and open, with flavours of confit pear, orange and beeswax-coated fruit set against an energy and vigour which emanates from the wine’s bright acid backbone. It culminates in a long, charged and lingering finish. A very good result in this difficult vintage. (Feb 2018)"
