95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This is a somewhat stern Valmur. That is unusual for Moreau-Naudet, especially as the 60 ares of vines sit on the warmer side of the valley—incidentally between Vocoret and Raveneau. Nonetheless, all the required elements to make a highly age-worthy wine are in place, from resolutely concentrated and complex flavor (apple core, crushed chalk and yellow grapefruit) to taut structure with a tugging and long mineral finish. Give this upwards of a decade prior to opening. (Jan 2025)"
93-94 points Kirstaps Karklins (Wine Advocate): "Derived from 60-year-old vines growing on a rather steep slope and vinified entirely in stainless steel, the 2023 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur is flamboyant, soaring from the glass with a deep bouquet of beeswax, grapefruit zest and pear. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, concentrated and layered, with more mid-palate amplitude than any other wine in the range, supported by vibrant acidity and concluding with a long, saline finish. It comes from a parcel just next to Raveneau’s, and like that example, it rewards patience. (3/6/25)"
