93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet La Maltroye 1er Cru has an attractive bouquet with hints of praline infusing the citrus fruit. It is full of energy and tension. The palate is very pure, with candied orange peel mixed with hints of chai, marzipan and almond. It is very vibrant and possesses an enchanting mineral undertow on the finish. Excellent. Drink: 2026-2046. (Jan 2025)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie is a high point of the range, as it was in 2022. Opening in the glass with notes of pear, orange zest, toasted nuts and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and racy, with good depth and cut and a pure, saline finish. (Jan 2025)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Mid lemon yellow. Quite an elegant approach on the nose, a floral edge to the white fruit, and very little oak effect. Plenty of vivacity to this, medium plus concentration with length and style. A light grapefruit note at the back, altogether a Maltroie with more character than usual. (Nov 2024)"

93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This sits across the street from the domaine, so it's constantly under scrutiny. There is a lovely sweet-savory balance here with juicy peaches and nectarine cores tinted with salinity. Vivaciously fresh with mouthwatering acidity, this shows breed yet is accesible. (2025).

93 points CellarTracker.com community score.

90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A prominent petrol character suffuses the even spicier and cooler aromas of Granny Smith apple and lemongrass. The rich, generous and plump middle weight flavors also possess very good volume before terminating in a lingering finish that really fans out as it sits on the palate. This is a wine that could easily be enjoyed on the younger side or cellared for a few years to good effect. Drink: 2029+. (Jun 2025)"
