Roasted raspberry, currant and tobacco on the nose; shows the characteristic leafy quality of this individual wine, but this is superripe. Sappy and fresh, with a strong impression of chewy extract. Deceptively simple today but stuffed with black fruit flavor and quite lush in the middle. The broad, fine tannins coat the entire palate. (May 2003)"

Blueberry, cassis and black olive with a bit of mineral dust dominate the flavor profile. This is a luscious wine that fills the mouth with a full, viscous texture and finishes with a juicy persistence."
