93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2015 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Mesnil Grand Cru is a pure Chardonnay from over 50-year-old vines in the village of Oger. Despite stating extra brut on the label, it received no dosage. The base wines fermented spontaneously in oak and the wine spent 75 months on lees. The subtle nose offers mere glimpses of lemon, while the light, bright palate presents a smoky sense of licorice. Everything is as vivid and lemony as expected from a Côte des Blancs Chardonnay, with structure and mousse slightly looser than usual—a general feature of 2015. Nonetheless, it knits together elegantly with scented lemon and chalk freshness. Zero dosage. Disgorged: October 2022. - Anne Krebiehl MW Drink 2024-2034 (Mar 2024)"
92 points Kristaps Karklins (Wine Advocate): "Robert Moncuit’s 2015 Blanc de Blancs Mesnil Grand Cru, disgorged in October 2022 without dosage, is showing very well. This wine comes from several old-vine parcels in the village and was matured in 350-liter barrels from Burgundy. Unlike many Champagnes from this vintage, which were marked by herbal aromatics due to hydric stress, it unfurls from the glass with scents of jasmine, Asian pear, lemon and hazelnut. Ample but incisive, with considerable intensity, a tangy spine of acidity and chalky extract, it is beautifully balanced, capturing the freshness and tension synonymous with Le Mesnil.
