98 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The golden-colored 2020 Riesling Bernkasteler Lay Auslese *** (Golden Capsule) exhibits a very rich and concentrated but highly refined and savory, elegant and complex nose of stewed apricots, lemon zest and juice as well as crushed stones. Beautifully refined and seamless on the palate, this is a concentrated but round and elegant, highly finessed and balanced Auslese with a quiet and solemn flow over the palate. Despite its richness, this is a very delicate and saline-finishing Lay Auslese with a long and aromatic aftertaste with salty caramel and apricot jam. This Lay Auslese is another beauty of the vintage, especially for those who prefer less acidic but textured noble sweet wines. In a certain way, this finely balanced richness reminds me of Kracher's finest TBAs from Lake Neusiedl, Austria, even though Molitor's Auslese is much less sweet than those. 7.5% stated alcohol.
