98 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2009 Dom Pérignon Rosé marks a return to a richer style of Rosé following the more ethereal 2008 Rosé. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, spice and pomegranate all build in a creamy, sensual DP Rosé that hits all the right spots. Over the last few years, Chef de Caves Vincent Chaperon and his team have lowered the still Pinot portion of the Rosé down to about 10% from a high of 28% or so, reached around 2004 and 2005. In 2009, the Rosé gains considerable textural presence from the generosity of the year. It is a superb Champagne... Drink: 2023-2039. (May 2023)"
97 points James Suckling: "Peaches, fresh crushed strawberries and roses on the nose. Full-bodied and generous. Fine tannins that frame the wine beautifully and set it up for a fresh finish. Some fruit tea and cedar undertones. Enticing finish with hints of bitterness. Savory. Drink or hold. (8/7/23)"
97 points Peter Moser (Falstaff): "Bright light orange, shaded to soft cherry pink, silver highlights, fine, well-integrated, persistent mousse. Fine toasted caramel, raspberry confit, fresh cherries, a hint of navette oranges, underpinned by white flowers, very inviting bouquet. Juicy elegant and complex, fine white peach fruit, pleasant acidic structure, taut minerality, lemony nuances, red wild berries on the finish, salty and long lasting, shows great length, already in full harmony, to be enjoyed to the fullest. (1/1/23)"
96 points Wine Spectator: "A lovely rosé Champagne that waltzes gracefully across the palate, belying the concentrated range of macerated raspberry and strawberry, candied blood orange peel, toast and saffron notes carried on the elegant, satiny mousse. Long and fresh, with minerally smoke and oyster shell accents on the focused finish. Drink now through 2035. (12/15/23)"
96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Based on the 2009 'solar' vintage, Vintage Rosé offers a full-bodied nose and a juicy palate, with a natural sweetness of red berries, exotic pepper and rosewood. A great wine for sure. (2024)"
94-96 points Essi Avellan, MW: "The 2009 Dom Pérignon Rosé comes from a year of opulent, ripe and softly textured champagnes. As this cuvée always is a bold and surprising one, so is its 2009. Powerful cherry fruit on the nose that highlights black rather than red berry profile. Alongside berries, apricot jam, blood orange and stone fruit tones arise on top of the deep, softly spicy core. The palate is full of fruit too with both a vertical and horizontal sumptuousness. Soft but fresh acidity intermingles with the sturdy phenolics of the wine, bringing structure. A big, bold and immediately expressive Dom Pérignon has a lot of character to it. I am looking forward to seeing the path it takes with additional ageing, a wild one full of personality. (Mar 2023)"
95 points Yohan Castaing (Wine Advocate): "In comparison to the charming, pure 2008 Dom Pérignon Rosé, the 2009 Dom Pérignon Rosé possesses a ripe, dense bouquet with aromas of dark berries, licorice, dried white flowers, toast and pastry, enhanced by delicate, racy smoky hints. Full-bodied, broad and rich, it’s dense and phenolic due to the approximately 15% still red wine sourced from grapes planted in the villages of Hautvilliers, Aÿ and Bouzy, culminating in a protracted, sapid and chalky finish. Although already thoroughly enjoyable, it should age well over the next 10 years. This blend of 56% Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay was disgorged in March 2022 with a dosage of five grams per liter. Drink: 2023-2040. (10/19/23)"
95 points Tom Hewson (Decanter): "With a 13% red wine addition, this is slightly less vinous than the 2006 (which saw 20%), yet still lays closer to this bold, sunny vintage than the nervier 2008 release. It’s a Dom Pérignon rosé in full stride today, showing a beautiful maturing Pinot Noir savour of dried strawberry and black tea starting to evolve over fresher notions of cooked citrus, mandarin and pomegranate. There’s a flowing ease here, the mousse ultra fine and the drama of the red Pinot Noir settled beautifully. Drinking Window: 2024-2034. (6/13/24)"
