95 points Andy Howard, MW (Decanter): "The vines for Louis Michel's Grenouilles are from a rocky, sunnier site higher up on the slope. The vines here always benefit from a gentle breeze, adding to the concentration coming from these 70-75 year-old vines. A very long, elegant and profound expression of Grenouilles. This has a fine balance between sweetness of ripe fruit and spice notes to finish. Drinking Window: 2027-2040. (10/17/22)"
91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pale to mid lemon. A little spice which may be the terroir or an aspect of reduction. The wine is more compact at the front of the palate than Vaudésir, before opening out to a fleshy white fruit towards the back. A softer finish than in some vintages suggests earlier drinking. Drink from 2026-2032. (Jun 2022)"
93+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles is quite tightly wound, unfurling to reveal reductive aromas of pear, green apple and peach mingled with hints of toasted nuts and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's quite concentrated and compact and will reward a bit of patience. Drink: 2027-2042. (9/7/23)"
93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2023).
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "More strict width of aroma – perhaps more lime citrus and certainly more mineral. Supple, broad – a more relaxed structure than the Vaudésir but structural nonetheless. The finish is a beauty – a wine that requires but will repay, your patience! (4/30/23)"
