94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2023 Chablis 'Séchet' from Domaine Louis Michel was also still in tank and was showing beautiful potential at the time of my visit. The wine’s aromatic constellation is very precise, offering up notes of lemon, pear, white flowers, licorice, a touch of straw and a gorgeous base of limestone minerality. On the palate the wine is pure, crisp and full, with a superb core of fruit, fine soil signature and grip, a lovely spine of acidity and superb backend lift on the perfectly balanced and soil-infused finish. Most impressive! 2028-2055. (Jan/Feb 2025)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Chablis Séchets 1er Cru has more reduction on the nose than other cuvées. You can eke out scents of white clay and light mango. The palate is taut on the entry before gaining more depth on the honeyed mid-palate. Pure and refined, this has one of the most satisfying finishes. Excellent. Drink: 2025-2038. (Aug 2024)"

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Very reductive which is usual for their Séchets. Blackcurrant leaf and even cats pee. Actually, not too hard to see the wine behind. A bit of box in flower, some citron confit, quite a full texture, flesh on the bones, and very long. I am happy to give this Séchet the benefit of doubt as it will have almost another year before bottling. (Jun 2024)"

92 points Tim Atkin, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2025).
