95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Meyney has a divine bouquet, so pure and winsome with floral red berry scents, beautifully integrated new oak and superb precision. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy to the point where you can almost overlook the backbone of this Saint-Estèphe. It could have been blowsy, yet it retains superb balance and feels luxuriant and long on the finish. This is a stellar showing easily eclipsing its performances either in barrel or just after bottling. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting. Drink: 2026-2055. (Feb 2023)"

93-95 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): " From a well-situated estate overlooking the Gironde, the blend in this vintage is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and a whopping 16% Petit Verdot, with 14.5% alcohol declared. It displays a wonderfully dark and intense character in the glass, and the nose is just beautiful, dark, brooding and smoky, with concentrated fruits, blackcurrant, black cherry and currant, intertwined with cocoa bean, vanilla pod and praline. A truly delicious palate follows, so full of rich intent at the start, but it has energy and balance as well as texture. Rich, broadly gripped, but the tannins are well hidden, velvety and plush, hiding beneath the rippling sinew of fruit and oak. A very composed style all the same, finishing up with fruit and structure in complete harmony, and a lingering grip of ripe tannins and fruit. Top class work from the team here. (Jun 2020)"
