95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Meyney has a divine bouquet, so pure and winsome with floral red berry scents, beautifully integrated new oak and superb precision. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy to the point where you can almost overlook the backbone of this Saint-Estèphe. It could have been blowsy, yet it retains superb balance and feels luxuriant and long on the finish. This is a stellar showing easily eclipsing its performances either in barrel or just after bottling. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting. Drink: 2026-2055. (Feb 2023)"

95 points La Revue du Vin de France: "There's no doubt that the 2019 is a landmark success in the modern history of the vintage. The sap, structure and substance are superb, supported by the ability of the Meyney terroir to express great freshness. It's obviously far from ready, but its potential is undeniable. (2023)"

93-95 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "From a well-situated estate overlooking the Gironde, the blend in this vintage is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and a whopping 16% Petit Verdot, with 14.5% alcohol declared. It displays a wonderfully dark and intense character in the glass, and the nose is just beautiful, dark, brooding and smoky, with concentrated fruits, blackcurrant, black cherry and currant, intertwined with cocoa bean, vanilla pod and praline. A truly delicious palate follows, so full of rich intent at the start, but it has energy and balance as well as texture. Rich, broadly gripped, but the tannins are well hidden, velvety and plush, hiding beneath the rippling sinew of fruit and oak. A very composed style all the same, finishing up with fruit and structure in complete harmony, and a lingering grip of ripe tannins and fruit. Top class work from the team here. (Jun 2020)"

93-95 points Wine Enthusiast: "From a reliable estate, this wine is firm in feel. It also has open black fruits that pair alongside the generous tannins. It is good long-term aging."

94 points James Suckling: "Notes of ripe blackcurrants and blackberries, vanilla, licorice and dark chocolate with touches of earthiness and nutmeg-like spice. Medium-bodied with ripe, velvety tannins and delicious fruit. Polished and refined. Try after 2023. (1/31/22)"

94 points Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider): "Showing much better in bottle than it did from the barrel, the deeply colored wine is imbued with cigar box, tobacco leaf, spice, espresso, wet earth, and dark currants and blackberries. On the palate, the wine focuses on its medium/full-bodied core of ripe, sweet, dark red fruits, soft, tannins, and polished finish and its light kiss of chocolate in the endnote. Drink from 2025-2042. (Mar 2022)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "A solid, slightly burly version, featuring streaks of tar and bay leaf mixed with dark plum and black currant preserve flavors. The finish is underscored by a warm paving stone note, which adds cut, drive and a hint of old school. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2024 through 2036. (3/31/22)"

93 points Panos Kakaviatos (Decanter): "This wine sneaks up on you, it needs time to seduce, revealing fresh, floral aromas with graphite. The chiseled palate - fresh and concentrated but in a subtle manner - conveys elegance with vivacity and lift on the long finish, with more floral notes and spice coming from a high percentage of Petit Verdot. A beautiful wine that needs time. Drinking Window: 2025-2040. (2/24/23)"
