Marchesi di Barolo owns pieces of most of the great vineyards in the village of Barolo, including the majority of Cannubi, from which it bottles one of its better single-vineyard wines (there's also the more austere Sarmassa). Here's a great introduction to the smoky, leathery, earthy flavors of classic Barolo, and there's lots of old-vintage wine in the market, much of it very good."
