95 points Peter Moser (Falstaff): "Deep dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, delicate rim brightening. Delicate ripe cherry fruit underlay with nougat, hints of plums and liquorice, fresh orange zest, inviting bouquet. Complex, juicy and savoury, red cherries, pleasant sweetness, ripe tannins, good freshness, mineral and long lasting, secure certain ageing potential. (5/11/23)"

94-95 points James Suckling: "A juicy and solid young St Emilion with crushed stone, hints of large grains of sea salt and a black berry character throughout. Full and chewy, but polished. New Grand Cru. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. (4/7/23)"

93-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "A wine that gets my nod as this dynamic estate's finest to date is the 2022 Mangot, a medium to full-bodied, ample and layered wine evocative of cherries, dark berries, licorice and rose petals. Deep, concentrated and fleshy, with a vibrant core of fruit and a long, mouthwatering finish, this seamless, complete Saint-Émilion is sure to be one of the best purchases of the en primeur campaign. (4/28/23)"

92-94 points Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider): "Elegant, soft, fresh, and deep, the wine quickly focuses you on its layers of ripe, sweet, fresh, dark, red pit fruits. The long, powerful, mineral-edged finish, with its layers of plums, cherries and salt, sticks with you. Drink from 2025-2042. (5/8/23)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2022 Mangot is a bold, sensual wine. Blackberry jam, licorice, new leather, chocolate, spice and espresso are all beautifully amplified. This potent, explosive Saint-Émilion has a ton to offer. Drink: 2027-2042. (Jan 2025)"

92 points Jane Anson (Inside Bordeaux): "(65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon). Intense bright berry fruits, cedar smoking on the aromatics, this is enjoyable, edges of sandalwood and incense, heat on the finish but also succulence and impact. A high energy wine from Yann and Karl Todeschini, Stephane Toutoundji consultant. Alcohol 14.5%. Drink: 2025-2034. (4/26/23)"

92 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "From a newly promoted grand cru classé property, run by the Todeschini family, this is a blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose is classic St Emilion, with perfumed crushed chalk, white freesias, white peach and citrus peel, over a bed of currant fruits. The palate is fresh, polished and bright, with beautiful vivacity, a modest texture of fruit, and a supple, lightly grained core of tannins, barely perceptible, such is their integration, and it is only at the very end of the palate they suddenly pop out to wrap up the finish. Precisely built, fresh and floral, with growing grip, this is an impressive grand vin, combining ripe and almost juicy fruit with a dry and finely polished structure. It has the drier tannins of the vintage in the finish, so it will benefit from the élevage, and perhaps time in bottle as well. (Apr 2023)"
