96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru hails from two parcels of 0.08 hectares, the only cuvée that comes from both the top and bottom of the vineyard. It matured in one-third new oak (five years ago it would have been entirely in new wood). This has a knockout nose with ebullient red fruit, crushed stone and a touch of pressed rose petals. Wonderful. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit, beguiling symmetry and a sense of poise and power on the finish. What a magnificent Ruchottes from Charles Magnien. Drink: 2028-2052. (Jan 2025)"

93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "One new barrel in three. Deeper crimson ruby. The oak is speaking a little on the nose alongside some alpine strawberries. Plenty of attractive fruit, seems like higher pH but there is a daintiness of approach allied to the tensile strength of a grand cru. (Nov 2024)"

93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .16 ha parcel). Moderate though hardly invisible wood serves as a relatively neutral backdrop for the perfumed, and distinctly cool, red currant and dark cherry aromas spiked with earth and a whiff of truffle. There is fine volume and richness to the solidly dense medium-bodied flavors that possess an attractive texture, all wrapped in a chiseled, very firm and lingering finish. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2025)"
