92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champeaux 1er Cru has a glorious bouquet, very floral and well-defined with raspberry and wild strawberry fruit, wonderful definition and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a pinch of white pepper, and much more backbone than Magnien's entry-level wines, with good persistency on the finish. Excellent. Drink: 2026-2042. (Jan 2024)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Mid ruby purple. The bouquet hovers between raspberry and strawberry fruit, with some elegance. It bursts forward on the palate without exceeding its bounds, while the structure has a slightly greater presence than for Charles Magnien’s village wines, suited to longer ageing. A clean red fruit finish. Charles has to keep a watch here to avoid the grapes getting wrinkled. Drink from 2029-2036. Tasted: November 2023."

90-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .25 ha parcel of <35-year-old vines). Subtle though not invisible oak influence is present on the more sauvage-suffused aromas of forest floor, earth and ripe dark currant. The supple, delicious and vibrant middleweight flavors possess a caressing mid-palate that contrasts somewhat with the firm, mildly austere and lightly stony finale. Good quality here. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2024)"

92 points/'Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): Elegant and vivid, this shows deep fruit on the mid-palate. It’s intense and offers a transparent expression of the terroir. While not the ultimate in energy and vividness, appealing it is. Drink from 2034. (2/12/24)"
