****Highly Recommended, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "The deep amber/ochre color with bronze core highlights is a benchmark for sherry cask aged malts; perfect purity. Right from the start, the aroma is sweetish, winey, and oaky; with further time in the glass, the aroma expands to include marzipan, treacle, molasses, honey, vanilla bean, cinnamon, and cocoa butter; an amazing experience. The palate entry is textured, unabashedly sweet, creamy, and assertive; by the midpalate phase the flavor goes intensely nutty, buttery and bacon fat-like, with the beginnings of rancio. Mountains of concentration and sherry/honey flavors make this a very stylistic malt that to some newbee admirers might seem old-fashioned. One of Speyside Scotland's standard bearer 12 year olds."
9+/10 points Quarterly Review of Wines: "Nice weight, delicious, stylish and smooth finish. (Autumn 2011)"
