91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées has quite a backward nose at first with hints of dark chocolate and vanilla infusing the red berry fruit. Floral in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip, quite elegant with nicely-pitched acidity, edgy with impressive mineralite on the finish. Recommended - this shows the pedigree of this lieu-dit. Drink 2024-2038 (11/22)."

90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Medium deep red. The nose is quite restrained while the fruit in the mouth is rather more exuberant. Fresh strawberry with peppery notes behind. Good length, fine, clean and balanced. More mineral at the finish. Drink from 2026-2031. (Nov 2022)"

91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin “les Seuvrées” from Domaine Lignier is also excellent. The nose delivers an aromatic constellation of red and black cherries, dark soil tones, gamebird, woodsmoke, a hint of licorice, mustard seed and a deft foundation of oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and bit more reserved out of the blocks than the Trilogie, with a lovely core, very good soil signature, ripe, buried tannins and a long, complex and well-balanced finish. 2032-2070. (Nov/Dec 2022)"
