93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Crimson to purple in colour, the Combottes has a depth of riper fruit here compared to Petite Chapelle. Floral with dark raspberry, this is very classy, with optimum ripeness, and exquisite length. A lovely example. Three barrels made. (Dec 2024)"
94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Packed with red cherries, chimney smoke and savory spices, this shows chalky tannins and vibrant acidity on the palate. It's a very pretty Combottes that has easily digested its 30% new wood. The serious finish keeps doling out succulent blueberries. (2025)"
92-94 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .14 ha parcel of 45+ year old vines). A pure, elegant and attractively airy, even perfumed, nose reflects notes of mostly red cherry, spice and floral wisps. The punchy and super-sleek medium weight flavors also possess a striking mouthfeel with a more subtle bead of minerality, all wrapped in a balanced and impressively long finale. This is excellent with the development potential to match. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2025)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(Under Monts Luisants but much sandier soil than the domaines Clos de la Roche). Ooh – beautiful perfume – a great invitation. Ultra mineral, direct, but the finish burst out in all directions – ultra gorgeous finishing. That’s clearly a great wine… (4/22/25)"
