90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Dense purple, though the nose needs and will get a freshening. The fruit though shows its paces in the mouth, with all the nobility of fine Vosne-Romanée, very sensual but with a backbone built for the long term. Delicious, and will be even better when freshened up. (Oct 2024)"
89-91 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Village contains around 40% whole bunches. This feels quite fresh on the nose. There is fine mineralité, and the stems are better subsumed than the Nuits Saint-Georges. The palate is medium-bodied and cohesive with sappy red fruit, fine acidity and good body on the finish. This is one of the picks from Leroux. Drink: 2026-2037. (Jan 2025)"
90 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from Les Jacquines, Au Dessus de la Rivière, Les Genaivrières and Maizières-Basses; 60% whole cluster). A much spicier nose reflects notes of exotic jasmine tea, red cherry, dark currant and a whiff of sandalwood. The super-sleek and more refined, though no denser, flavors possess good energy and even better depth on the balanced, youthfully austere and slightly more structured finale. This is a very good Vosne villages and also worth considering. Drink: 2030+. (Apr 2025)"
