91-93 points/'Very Good+,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "Moving into the centre of Volnay, this comes from the area just below Thomas Boulay’s estate. This is a small vineyard located on the steeper part of the Volnay slope, and it produces a vivid, airy wine. This is effortless and refined, and I adore it. Drink from 2029. (6/2/22)"
90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a rarely seen 1er that measures only .64 ha). A slightly riper nose reflects notes of red and dark cherry, floral wisps and a hint of rose petal. The delicious and chalky medium weight flavors possess a lovely sense of underlying tension before concluding in a chiseled, youthfully austere and sneaky long finale. This too is worth considering. Drink: 2028+. (Apr 2023)"
90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "One of the darker purple colours, and the nose shows a certain concentrated ripeness, not quite as complete as Santenots in terms of fruit volume, but it has retained its usual elegance and length. Some whole bunch suggestion, though Benjamin does not use a lot. (Nov 2021)"
