92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Pale lemon colour. This year’s Meursault-Blagny has a most sublime nose, very precise, not exuberant but with a sense of poise that is most appealing. Really concentrated at the back of the palate with a perfect acid balance. Crisp pure fresh apple finish yet perfectly ripe. 13.4% alcohol, pH 3.24. The wine offered in magnum format is a fractionally different cuvée but recognisably the same in style and quality. (Nov 2021)"

The wine has plenty of structure, and there is richness countered by freshness. A dynamic and delicious wine. Leroux farms 1.65ha in Blagny for white wine. The grapes in 2020 were picked at 13.5% potential alcohol and pressed as whole clusters without crushing. The juice was run into used casks with a large percentage of the lees for fermentation and ageing. Drinking Window: 2022-2035. (Nov 2021)"

91-93 points/'Fine+,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Blagny La Pièce Sous le Bois white (there is also a magnificent red) is a tremendous wine, really digging out the qualities of the Blagny hill. It’s cool, linear, and intense, with excellent acidity. The soil is different from lower down in Meursault, with white marl giving an intense mineral note which should be – as in this case -accompanied by fully ripe fruit. This is a bullseye for Blagny.
