94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Hedgerow and heather waft from the glass. The palate has a citrus-driven core laced with a light saltiness. This is dramatically minerally through the soft and delicately balanced finish. These are approximately 45-year-old vines, and Ben says that this is their penultimate vintage. (Jan 2024)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a more backward bouquet than the Les Charmes-Dessus, gaining intensity all the time in the glass. The well-balanced palate has a slightly creamy texture, harmonious with grilled hazelnut and almond. There’s a touch of vanilla pod towards the finish from the oak that will be subsumed with time. Very fine. Drink: 2026-2045. (Jan 2024)"

91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Because of the wretched 161/49 rootstock problem, these vines have been pulled out after the 2023 vintage. The nose is a little restrained after the pale yellow colour. Quite punchy, a little yellow fruit, super concentrated but not quite the finesse of my favourites in the cellar. (Oct 2023)"
